Notes : As impurites Cu,Ni,Cr and Ni+Cr for classes S 09 CK,S 15 CK, S 20 CK shall not exceed respectively 0.25%,0.20%,0.20% and 0.30% and Cu, Ni,Cr and Ni +Cr for throughout other classes shall not exceed respectively 0.30%,0.20%, 0.20% and 0.35

JIS G 4052 (1979) STRUCTURAL STEELS WITH SPECIFIED HARDENABILITY BANDS

Remarks :1. As impurities Cu shall not exceed 0.305 throughout all classes 2. As impurities Ni shall not exceed 0.25% excepting nickel chromium steel and nickel chromium molybdenum steel 3. Cr in manganese steel shall not exceed 0.35

Remarks: As impurities Cu content for each grade shall not exceed 0.30%

JIS G 4804 (1983) RESULPHYRIZED CARBON STEELS

Note : 1. As to silicon no requirement shall be provided as a rule. If the need arises, such range or limiting values as 0.10% and under 0.10 to 0.20% or 0.15 to 0.35% may be selected to be used by agreement between the manufacturer and purchaser. 2. When lead content is reported it shall be expressed by the range of 0.10 to 0.35 %

JIS G 4805 (1970) HIGH CARBON CHROMIUM BEARING STEELS

Note : 1. The steels shall not contain more than 0.25% of Ni and Cu respectively as impurites except that Cu in wire steel shall not exceed 0.20% SUJ 1, SUJ 2 and SUJ 3 shall not contain more than 0.080 % of Mo 2. Not more than 0.25% of elements other than those specified in Table 2 may be added 3.When steel worked in the acid furnaces the steels may contain P and S up to 0.030% respectively and SUJ 1,SUJ 2,and SUJ 4 may contain Si up to 0.40%
